DAY 1. Arrival in Yerevan. City tour
Arrival at “Zvartnots” International Airport. Meeting at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Rest. City tour in 2 793-year-old Yerevan. Tasting Armenian dishes. Visit to Matenadaran – one of the richest book-depositories in the world (with about 17 000 ancient manuscripts). Excursion and degustation at world-famous Yerevan Brandy Factory. Spare time and overnight.
DAY 2. Yerevan – Geghard (UNESCO) – Garni – Yerevan
Visit to rock-carved Geghard Monastic Complex. Continuing the route to the only standing pagan temple in Armenia – Garni. Participation in Armenian “lavash” bread making with local people and lunch at a village house. Return to Yerevan. Spare time and overnight.
DAY 3. Yerevan – Haghpat (UNESCO) – Sanahin (UNESCO) – Dilijan – Lake Sevan
Leaving Yerevan. Stop at massive stone-carved letters of unique Armenian alphabet. Lunch at a roadside bistro. Visit to the architectural masterpieces Haghpat and Sanahin Monastic Complexes. A short but a pleasant walking in Dilijan historic-cultural reserve (within the territory of Dilijan National Park). Moving forward to one of the highest fresh-water lakes in the world – the Sevan. Spare time and overnight.
DAY 4. Lake Sevan – Noraduz – Selim – Khndzoresk – Goris
Observing the full view of the lake from the height of its peninsula. Visit to Noraduz – the world’s biggest assemblage point of khachkars – cross stones (UNESCO). Stop at t he Silk Road well-preserved Selim Caravanserai. Open-air lunch. Continuing the route to the old cave town Khndzoresk. Spare time and overnight in colorful Goris.
DAY 5. Goris – Tatev – Zorats Karer – Jermuk
The world’s longest aerial tramway takes to Tatev Monastic Complex. Visit to Zorats Karer astrological observatory dating back to the 3th millennium BC. Lunch at a local restaurant. Walking tour in Jermuk Resort Town. Spare time and overnight.
DAY 6. Jermuk – Noravank – Khor Virap – Yerevan
Visit to Noravank Monastic Complex surrounded by fiery red rocks. Continuing the route to Khor Virap Monastery, enjoying the majestic view of the Biblical Mount Ararat. Degustation of fragrant Armenian wines and lunch at a colorful wine factory. Return to Yerevan. Spare time and overnight.
DAY 7. YEREVAN
Spare day in Yerevan is at your disposal!!! You can take part in Divine Liturgy in one of the Yerevan churches. Overnight in Yerevan.
DAY 8. Yerevan – Etchmiadzin (UNESCO) – Zvartnots (UNESCO) – Yerevan
Visit to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadizn – the spiritual centre of the Armenian Apostolic Church. On the way back to Yerevan visit to the ruins of unique Zvartnots Temple. Buying juicy Armenian fruits at the Food Market. Spare time. Farewell Dinner at a traditional restaurant accompanied by national live music. Overnight in Yerevan.
DAY 9. Departure from Yerevan
Early breakfast at the hotel. Check-out.Transfer to the airport.
